Information and visiting experience by Daniel Geering (dangeery@bluewin.ch)

The "Pattinoire Malley" is the home of the Hockey Club Lausanne. Ever since the 1980/1981-season the team spent most of the time in the NLB with a few seasons in the NLA between. After a very succesful campaign in 2000/2001 the team qualified for the NLA again in the upcoming season but considering the history of the club one can be sure that the NLB isnīt far down the road again.

The official capacity of the arena is 10.500, 2.422 seats and the rest standing-room. All in all one can say that the arena is one of the most modern in Switzerland, and with an average attendance of 3526 per game in 1999/2000 one can expect a good crowd almost every night, at least for NLB-standards. The attendance-record was set on the 4th of April 1995 when more than 12.000 spectators were allowed inside and celebrated the last advancement to the NLA, one year later the team was back into the NLB.

Tickets costs between 15 Franken (standing-room) and 35 Franken (seating-ticket).

Travelling to the arena:

Travelling from Germany you will have to drive via Basel or Zurich in the direction to Bern, Freiburg and Lausanne. Approximatly 180 kilometers behind Basel you will reach Lausanne where directions to the arena should be found easily.
